Beats+ is a music app that contains different sets of drum loops for musicians to play against.
The purpose of Beats+ is for musicians to be able to play against different rhythms and genres. Containing over 50 preprogrammed rhythms, guitarists and composers are able to get a feel for what a song will sound like with the accompaniment of a drummer.
Beats+’s interface is simple. It presents different genre packs of music and also offers in-app purchases for new rhythms. You just have to choose one of the samples and pick a tempo, and the song will continue to loop until it is stopped. It is possible to save favorite rhythms for easy access in the main toolbar.
Beats+ also includes in the standard version a “Hit Songs” pack, including beats of popular songs. While they sound similar, the changed song titles are a little difficult to decipher unless you know the exact song it is recreating.
Sound quality for Beats+ is actually very good. The app contains a large variety of mixes, from acoustic drum kits to some electronic drum set effects. The acoustic sets sound realistic and the tones are clean.
